cathymoore's review: "I like Gordianus the Finder. He's not as witty as my other favourite M Didius Falco but the characters are well drawn and the attention to historical detail is second to none. The addition of thorough author's notes at the end help to separate the known facts from the fictional filling in."
Minotaur Books (2009), Edition: Reprint, Paperback, 416 pages

cathymoore's review: "I have managed to read these books all in the wrong order. This was very readable and I enjoyed it, although some of the violence and descriptions of the murder victims is quite strong. I don't really know what I'm going to do about reading the rest of them as I wanted to read The Snowman but this book told me who did it!"
Vintage (2012), Edition: First Edition/ First Printing, Paperback, 688 pages

cathymoore's review: "A nice quick read. I thought I'd figured out who did it, so it was a nice surprise at the end to find out I was wrong!"

cathymoore's review: "I was concerned I wouldn't like this, I found Knox's first book very violent, to the point where it ruined the story. While this was still a little graphic I really liked it. The setting and the plot were both original and well written and researched,"
Plume (2011), Edition: Reprint, Paperback, 464 pages

cathymoore's review: "This is Gloria's story, told to us in flashbacks and glimmers of suppressed memories from her chair in her old folks home. Gloria is one of the best characters in a book that I have ever come across and her story is in turns both hilarious and heartbreaking. Highly recommended."
BLOOMSBURY PUBLISHING PLC (2003), Paperback, 240 pages

King and Maxwell (King & Maxwell) by David Baldacci

cathymoore's review: "I've read all the previous King and Maxwell books in the series and this is just as good as the rest. I probably wouldn't recommend reading it if you aren't familiar with the series as there are a few plot threads carried through from the other books. This is a nice easy read with a good story line and well-rounded characters. I was also pleased to discover an unexpected little plot twist towards the end."
